After a lovely drive through lush volcanic mountains, we arrived in Mindo and found El Monte, the place where we would be staying for a few nights. This hand-pulled cable car (a "tarabita") over a rushing river was the way you (and all luggage, supplies, food, etc.) got in and out of the property.
