Lessons in Metallurgy – Watching

I had some first lessons in hands-on metallurgy today, thanks to Kurt. Using his homemade gas-fired forge, we beat a tire iron into the beginnings of a decorative leaf. Fun!
Despite my theoretical inclinations toward beating sharp things into agricultural tools, I’m hoping to take on making a utility knife.
