The walking tour I went on was quite wonderful. This was a particularly striking image from that tour; on the ground in the front is the excavation site of the bunker where Adolf Hitler shot himself when his "government" was forced out of power. They are just now getting around to digging it up and doing something better with the land; they’re building a new government office over the site. In the distance you can see the multitude of building cranes; these were all over the place in Berlin, and each represents a new part of the city to come. I hopefully need not point out the striking irony of this particular composition.
